Ezekiel 8:3
He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. The Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and in visions of God he took me to Jerusalem, to the entrance to the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes to jealousy stood.

Do not stand at my grave & weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on a fresh winters snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle pulse of the autumn rain

When you awaken in the mornings hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush

-Of quiet birds in circled flight

I am the stars that shine at night.

And I continue to live through all of you;

In Susan's strength
In Carolyn's courage
In Maureen's loyalty
In Katie's individuality
In Chris's Wonder
In Annie's humor
In Jack's enthusiasm
And in James' sweet youth.

Do not stand at my grave & cry
-as you now can see, I will never die.
